Most universities in Norway only offer 1 intake period for the majority of the study programs. Each university has its own admissions timeline. However, most universities open applications from December to March.


Norway has two official languages: Norwegian and Sami. There are two main dialects of Norwegian: Bokmål and Nynorsk. 


Students who are citizens of the EU/EEA or Switzerland, or who are already permanent residents of Norway, can study tuition-free at Norwegian universities. However, all other students have to pay tuition fees.
