In Denmark, EU/EEA and Swiss students usually don't pay tuition at public universities, while non-EU/EEA students do, typically between 6,000 to 16,000 Euros annually. Living costs are high, averaging 800 to 1,200 Euros per month for all students.
The standard of living in Denmark is one of the highest in the world, but its cost is also very high, even by European standards. Copenhagen, the capital and largest city of Denmark, is ranked 11th out of 226 cities in the global cost of living ranking compiled by Mercer in 2024.
Your educational institution and program must be approved, and you need to show that you can financially support yourself with at least INR 77.5k (6.5k DKK) per month. Meeting these criteria is essential to secure your visa and begin your studies in Denmark.
How much gap is accepted for study in Denmark. All the students must complete at least twelve years of study (Higher Secondary Certificate). A maximum of two years of a gap is accepted for the students and Madrasa education is allowed.
Your qualification must be on a level with a Danish upper secondary school leaving certificate. For Academy Profession degree programmes (short-cycle professional higher education) it may be sufficient that your certificate is on a level with a relevant Danish vocational qualification.
