There may also an application fee, which is €50-100 depending on the programme or course. A bachelor's degree in the Netherlands lasts four years so EU/EEA students should estimate to spend up to €8,000 on university tuition in total, while non-EU/EEA students should estimate to spend a maximum of €45,000.  


To qualify for a Netherlands Study Visa, international students are required to have an IELTS score of at least 6.0 in each section of the exam i.e., Reading, Listening, Speaking, and Writing. Is it difficult to get a Netherlands Study Visa? The success rate of the Netherlands Study Visa is 97%. 


In general, the monthly cost of living in the Netherlands for an international student will be around €800-1200. An average room will cost between €400 and €700, but keep in mind that small towns will generally be cheaper than cities and that the type of accommodation will also have an impact on the price. 


In the Netherlands, the English language can be spoken by the vast majority of the population, with estimates of English proficiency reaching 90% to 93% of the Dutch population. 


The courses given by the Netherlands' most prestigious institutions are internationally recognised in fields such as business and management, healthcare, economics, social media, and many more. 


The pace of study is intense and fast, so students need to adapt very quickly at the beginning of the first year so they do not fall behind. The academic year is divided into either two semesters or four blocks, with exams at the mid-term and end of term, or at the end of each block.  


Probably one of the most famous Dutch dishes, Poffertjes are small pancakes, baked in an iron skillet, and traditionally served with melted butter and dusted with icing sugar. You can enjoy these all year round, but Christmas and New Year are typically the best times to have them.
